  • Founded in 1876, and possessing the record for having the longest continuous practice of any Washington, D. C. law firm, Hamilton and Hamilton, LLP continues to provide high quality legal services to a broad range of companies and individuals. The firm remains vibrant in order to meet the needs of its individual clients, recently merging with the 48-year-old law firm of Reasoner & Fox of Washington, D.C.
  • The firm represented several companies at the time of their incorporation: The Catholic University of America, Southern Railway Company (now Norfolk Southern Corporation), Capital Traction Company (now the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority or WMATA), the Archdiocese for Military Services, U.S.A., and continues to serve them today! Joining these long-time clients are other well-established organizations, including The American National Red Cross, The George Washington University, Consolidated Rail Corporation Conrail), Frank Parsons Paper Company, Inc., Resources for the Future, OBA Bank, the Washington Area New Automobile Dealers Association (WANADA), the Hospital for Sick Children, Southcorp, U.S.A. and Westfield Corporation, Inc.

    Most of the firm's present members served as law clerks for federal or state court judges, and/or as Assistant Attorney General of the United States (Criminal Division), Assistant United States Attorney for the District of Columbia, Assistant Corporation Counsel for the District of Columbia, or as Assistant State's Attorney in the State of Maryland. Additionally, the firm's leadership in the Bar is shown by:
